Gift Banda granted bail in O-Level certificate forgery case

FORMER Zifa vice-president and interim president, Gift Banda (54) who is facing allegations of forging an O Level certificate has been granted bail by a Bulawayo magistrate.

The State was not opposed to bail.

Mrs Sibongile Msipa-Marondedze ordered that he deposit US$500, not to interfere with witnesses or investigations and to reside at his given address.

Banda is being represented by Mr Everson Chatambudza of Rubaya and Chatambudza.

The matter has been remanded to 3 January 2025. –Chronicle
