RELIEF FOR POLICE WIDOWS, ORPHANS

JOHANNE Masowe eChishanu Velvet leader, Madzibaba Owen Chingondi, yesterday brought cheers to police widows and orphans after donating grocery hampers ahead of the Christmas holidays.

The widows and orphans received the grocery hampers at an annual Commissioner General of Police Christmas church service held in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Chitungwiza.

Acting Officer Commanding Chitungwiza District, Superintendent Bonisiwe Khumalo, praised the church leader for his unwavering support.

“We want to thank all our stakeholders, including Madzibaba Owen and his team, who have been standing with us for the past few years by donating grocery hampers to police widows and orphans.

“This donation will go a long way as we remember and bring cheers into their homes as we share love and appreciate the work done by their departed loved ones” she said.

Johanne Masowe yeChishanu Velvet spokesperson, Audrey Guti, pledged more support.

“As Johanne Masowe eChishanu Velvet, we have been partnering with the ZRP over the past few years and we feel we need to do more for these widows and orphans in our community.

“We identified the need and pledged more support towards the cause every year because we understand their plight after losing their loved ones,” she said.
