Uthe kuyenzakala ukuthi umlimi abelenkomo angafuni ukuyisebenzisa nxa ekhulisa isibaya sakhe (ku-breeding) ngakho umlimi kumele athene amajongosi lawo ukuze bangacini besiba lomhlobo abangawufuniyo esibayeni.

“Inkomo ezitheniweyo kazilwi njalo sikhuthaza abalimi ukuthi bathene inkomo zabo zisasezinciyane zileviki kusiya kunyanga ezine ukuze zingacini zilandela amathokazi,” kutsho uMnu Muzunde.

Uqhubekele phambili esithi kulendlela zokuthena inkomo ezitshiyeneyo.

“Ukusebenzisa ingqamu ngeyinye indlela yokuthena amajongosi. Ekwenzeni lokhu umlimi kumele aqale agezise ingqamu nge-iodine engakayisebenzisi. 

“Kumele basebenzise amanzi akhudumalayo lesepa ukugezisa amahanqandulo (scrotum) kanye lezandla zabo njalo besebesika ngaphansi kwawo andubana babambe phezulu bafithizele kuze kuphume okuphakathi. Angaphuma, sebelakho ukudonsa kuze kuphume umthambo okumele bawuqume bafake i-iodine esilondeni lapho abasike khona,” kutsho uMnu Muzunde.

Uthe eyinye indlela yokuthena abalimi abangayisebenzisa yikusebenzisa ibhadiza (Burdizzo).

“Nxa abalimi besebenzisa ibhadiza, sikhuthaza ukuthi babone ukuba bayabulala imithambo ephakathi. Indlela le yokuthena ayizwisi buhlungu inkomo njalo iyaphangisa.

Ukusebenzisa iringi ye-rubber ngenye indlela yokuthena kukhangelelwe ukuthi ibe yiyo ezabopha imisipha, imise ukuhamba kwegazi okuyikho okuzenza angasasebenzi,” kuphetha uMnu Muzunde.
