A WOMAN was stabbed SEVEN times, robbed and left for dead at one of the city’s most dangerous flats, Gail Court, which is situated along Samora Machel Avenue, a day after the New Year’s Day celebrations.
Memory Moyo, of Unit B in Seke, Chitungwiza, was attacked after she had visited a friend.
She lived to tell her tale and the suspect, Simbarashe Mufandaedza, was arrested and dragged to court over the weekend, charged with robbery.
The court heard that on January 2, just after midnight, Moyo met Mufandaedza at Flat Number 14, Gail Court, where Moyo had visited her friend.
Mufandaedza produced an Okapi knife and stabbed Moyo three times on her left hand and four times on her right leg.
Mufandaedza forcibly took Moyo’s Samsung M33 cellphone and cash amounting to US$200.
Moyo sustained deep cuts on her left hand and right leg. She is currently admitted at Parirenyatwa Hospital.
Mufandaedza was arrested at Gail Court and nothing was recovered.
