STOP THE BEEF, SAYS UK-BASED ARTISTE

H Metro Reporter

UNITED Kingdom-based musician Russell Tapiwa Musakusa, also known as “Juss Russ Baby,” is not a happy man.

He feels some local artists have lost the plot and are just busy fighting among themselves and chasing clout rather than concentrate on things which matter for their careers.

“I have taken a different route as some of our local hip hop artists are busy beefing over clout-chasing instead of uniting and elevating this game and taking this whole genre to the next level,” he said.

“As we all know, none of these rappers have lived the raw thug life on the streets pushing real weight or seen bodies on the ground like I have done.

“Because of this, it saddens me because our nation isn’t built like that.

“I’ve been around, it’s only that I was working on my personal growth as a rapper, businessman, and father.”

Juss Russ Baby is the founder of “Mos Wan’ned Records Ltd”, the stable that found and brought to life the career of dancehall artist “Hwindi President.”

He says he wants to take Zimbabwean music to a whole new level this year.

He wants to sign more artists and uplift the youths in this country.

“My focus and approach is different,” said.

He has released a new love banger for the ladies titled ‘Rudo Rwangu Remix.’

The song follows the release of his new gospel track ‘The Journey.’

The song “Rudo Rwangu” is accompanied by a music video which he is confident will make waves on YouTube.

The artist, who is also known as “God’s Gift,” says he expects to release more hit songs this year.

“After some time in which I was on low key, I am happy that I managed to start the year 2025 with the song ‘Rudo Rwangu,’ which is accompanied by some really dope visuals.’

He said the song is dedicated to ladies and he believes it will be a hit once it hits the streets.

“I have been in the game for some time now and I believe that this is one of my best and most unique productions I have done as it’s all based on a true story about my love life.”

The singer who has been in the game for over a decade.

“The song is not just based on words or material things but about how men should treat their partners with respect and great admiration.

“I believe that this song will be a good start for 2025.
