URBAN grooves diva Pauline Gundidza will release a new song titled ‘Angelina’ today as a solo artist.
The founder of Mafriq said the song is about how women are affected by substance abuse.
Pauline said she was excited as this will be her first production this year and hopes more are on the way.
She said she believes she balances being a member of Mafrip and being a solo artist.
“The song is called Angelina, it is about a young woman who lives a reckless life of drinking and partying and all the while she will be endangering herself.
“It is part of my campaign against substance abuse, this time taking a close look at how women are affected by substance abuse.
“The album was released last year and the songs are by various different urban grooves artists from the original Chamhembe era.
“It features Mafriq, Roki, Leonard Mapfumo, Nembo Bwoy and some new additions such as Bryan K and Zinarayah.
“I am working hard to establish myself as a solo musician so I have to balance being a group member as well as an individual,” she said.
