THE last time Alick Macheso performed at Rufaro, his performance went viral after he invited a female fan to come onto the stage and she ended up stealing the show.
The fan’s suggestive dances proved even too much for the superstar musician, who tried to block it from the photographers.
But, the photographers had already captured their footage and it went viral on social media.
Macheso was performing at this year’s Defence Forces commemorations.
Tomorrow, the musician returns to Rufaro for another big show.
The main menu is football tomorrow and Macheso will provide the perfect motion picture soundtrack during the Chibuku Super Cup at Rufaro tomorrow.
Dynamos will take on Ngezi Platinum Stars in the final of the country’s flagship football inter-club competition. And, the superstar musician will be there to entertain the fans.
Macheso is expected to light up the stadium with his amazing guitar skills that have seen him being recognised as one of the greatest sungura musicians in the country.
“Ayaaa yaaa ayaa yaaa, varungu, musakanganwe kuti band renyu, band revanhu, rinoita zvido zvenyu kunyanya.
“Pamuri ndopatiri, naizvozvo tichange tichikutandadzai musi wa 30 November ku Rufaro Stadium.
“Hakudanwi anonzwa, tichitandara nekuona nhabvu, Ngezi Platinum FC vs Dynamos FC.
“Unozodei pakadai, walala wasala, asipo anodya sipo,” wrote Macheso on his Facebook page.
Macheso, who is also promoting his 13th album ‘Kupa Kuturika,’ will start off his weekend in Guruve tonight.
He shares the stage with Hosiah Chipanga.
Event organisers, Delta Corporation, who are also the main sponsors of the League and Cup, have invited fans to come in their numbers.
“Let’s meet at Rufaro for this unforgettable final as we seal off the 2024 season in style.
“There are a lot of prizes to be won and activities for the day and we are inviting all the fans to come in their numbers to support their favourite team,” said Delta Corporation marketing director, Irimayi Muzorewa.
Tickets are being sold for US$3 for rest of the ground, US$5 for the grandstands and US$10 for VIP while the VVIP is strictly by invite.
