LEAVE ME OUT OF MY EX’SNONSENSE, SAYS HWINZA

Yemurai Dyakonda

DANCEHALL artist Hwinza has admitted that some of his past romantic relationships, including one with ex-girlfriend Maloti, were toxic.

But, he insists that is now his past and should not be used to define his future.

Hwinza is not happy that his name is being dragged into the crazy world of Maloti who has publicly admitted that she takes ‘Bronco.’

The artist says his career is everything to him and should not be soiled by insinuations and associations with his past.

Maloti’s admission, in a video, has also attracted the attention of the police who now want to know the street where ‘Bronco’ is sold in Highfield.

Maloti was allegedly beaten and stripped naked by the brother of Hwinza’s current girlfriend.

Hwinza told H-Metro he was not interested in the drama as all his focus was on his music.

“I’m tired of being associated with my crazy ex-girlfriend’s antics because clearly she has her own issues and I’m not going to let her drama affect my career or my personal life.

“It’s festive season and let’s focus on spreading love and joy not drama and hate but kana vachida kuswera vachinetsana for likes ngavaite havo vasikana vemumastreets.”

Hwinza also admitted that he may have had poor judgment in his past relationships.

“I admit that I had a really bad taste in women but that doesn’t mean I should be punished for it with online people always saying ‘musikana waHwinza.’

“Ndakasiyana naye kudhara and izvezvi ndikutopengeswawo nemumwe asingaite zvesocial media.”

Maloti took to social media to share her side of the story, alleging that she was beaten and stripped naked by the brother of Hwinza’s current girlfriend.

In the video, Maloti recounts how the brother of Hwinza’s current girlfriend assaulted her and stripped her naked while she was on her way to buy ‘Bronco’ in Highfield.

“Kwandogara hakutengeswe ‘Bronco’ kune kahuSaladhitoni, so ndotenga ‘Bronco’ kuHighfield so maFriends aKatarina aenge akaudzwa kuti vaizoyirova ambush,” Maloti says in the video.

The video has since gone viral, with many expressing disappointment and even concern.

“Kutaura ‘Bronco’ kunge Mazoe…haa hapana kwatiri kuenda,” said one social media user.

“Ende, she is acting like kutaura ‘Bronco’ it’s a success kuita kunge degree in Broncolgy,” said another.

Another added:

“Ko ‘Bronco’ yacho yakutengeswa kunge maheu here”.

The police indicated that they were looking into the case.

“Tipeiwo stand number yekuti ‘Bronco’ kuFio,” the police said.

Drug and substance abuse is a real concern in the local musical industry.
