Zimbabwe Defence Forces Queens made history by winning the Premier Netball League without dropping a single point in the entire season.
โI am very happy to be standing here as the patron of ZDF Queens giving them medals for their success. I am happy to be associated with winners and this is something I am so proud of.
โThe girls did well throughout the season and we are hopeful they will continue like this next season. The team managed to win two trophies, and we are very honoured to give them the winnerโs medals.
โThe team did us proud as they won convincingly,โ said Baloyi-Chiwenga.
ZDF Queens captain Caroline Matura said she was happy that they were honoured for the good work they did throughout the season.
โI am very happy with the kind gesture shown by our patron and this will go a long way in supporting us as a team. We are glad that our efforts are not going unnoticed as our patron has remembered us.
โThe medals will help to motivate us and we will be looking forward to doing well again next year. The tournament was a tough one as Black Rhinos Queens and Harare City were behind us closely. The gesture is good and I owe the wins to teamwork,โ said Matura.
