Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe said it was important to recognise sustainable impact in ICT projects.

He said the rigorous selection process ensured that only the most deserving individuals and organizations were honoured.

โ€œThis ceremony is not just about awards; it is about acknowledging the visionaries and innovators who are shaping our digital future,โ€ Minister Kazembe said.

Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Dr Tatenda Mavetera highlighted the significance of the awards after a 10-year hiatus.

She said technology was key in driving transformation across various sectors.

Minister Mavetera said there was a need to recognize and reward exceptional performance.

โ€œThese awards foster a culture of excellence that is crucial for both the public and private sectors,โ€ she said.

โ€œBy recognising and rewarding excellence, we motivate professionals to continuously improve their skills and solutions, ultimately benefiting our nation.โ€

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province Charles Tavengwa underscored the importance of innovation and a forward-thinking mindset in the ICT sector.

He stressed the need to create an environment that encourages creativity and risk-taking.

The 2024 Zimbabwe ICT Excellence Awards showcased the best and brightest in the countryโ€™s ICT industry.
