DSTV gives subscribers free access to all channels

As a post-Christmas and pre-New Year bonus, the world of entertainment is to be opened to all connected and disconnected DStv customers, regardless of their current package.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe’s head of corporate affairs and public relations Charity Njanji said the unprecedented open window for all subscribers would take place from Friday December 27 to Sunday December 29 inclusive and would give access to the whole Premium platform at no cost.

“These DStv customers, will have access to more than 35 Premium channels as a special festive gesture.

“For 72 hours, the only thing standing between you and the best in sports, kids’ programming, movies, and local dramas is your active decoder,” she said.

“This means both disconnected and connected viewers will have a wide-open window to the huge variety that is available to Premium viewers at no extra cost.

“It also means recently disconnected viewers can switch back on for free for this 72-hour bonus bonanza offer.”

The amount of content available during this time will be huge and includes a vast array of general entertainment programming over many channels, special seasonal holiday content and the impressive amount of ongoing variety across the whole of DStv Premium, from which all the news, information and entertainment channels will be up and running in the open window.

Njanji said the open window was about more than just 72 hours of added value.

“It’s also about why subscribers connect to the world of DStv in the first place: a world of viewing that helps families enjoy their shared holiday time, winding down from a challenging year,” she said.

“It’s also the MultiChoice way of saying ‘thank you’ to customers and helping make the holiday season a little brighter.”

“Imagine kicking off your morning at 08:30 on Friday 27 December with Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie on MM1 for the kids or making sure everyone is tuned in and ready on the couch to enjoy Omera on Africa Magic Showcase at 21:00 CAT for a cinematic escape. Then on Sunday 29 December, settle in for Premier League action at 14:30 CAT in the afternoon, as Leicester City takes on Manchester City in an intense clash. As evening approaches, turn to Back to Black on M-Net at 20:00 CAT for a Sunday night wind-down.

“From blockbuster movies to heartwarming family adventures, DStv has curated something special for every moment of your day,” said Njanji.

DStv viewers could also take advantage of the open window to view Premium content they like and upgrade or reconnect to DStv higher packages to enjoy beyond the open  window.
