All is set for Janet Manyowa’s ANOT 2025 (A Night of Thanksgiving) Concert at the Harare International Conference Centre on New Year’s Day.

Now in its fifth edition, the event will feature a star-studded line-up led by Manyowa, Takesure Zamar, Bridget Ndanga, Pastor Bonnie, Dr Tumi, Everton Mlalazi, Lebo Sekgobela, Patience Masiyambiri, Pastor Bonnie Deuschle, Ellard and Sharon Cherayi.

As has become tradition, the annual gospel fete is famed for attracting hordes of fans from across the country as they begin the new year in prayer.

In an interview, Munyaradzi Manyowa, Janet’s husband and manager, assured gospel lovers of a transformative night of thanksgiving.

“I believe that every ANOT offers a unique worship encounter with God. This time around, we are introducing ANOT Extended after the main event, which will provide a deeper worship experience led by Takesure Zamar, Bridget Ndanga, Pastor Bonnie, Dr Tumi, and myself.

“Preparations have gone according to plan, and we anticipate a bumper crowd at ANOT 2025 as we start the new year in prayer, as has become the norm with our fans.

“Creating a production and worship experience that everyone will cherish requires significant effort, and we are committed to making it happen,” said the manager who has curated the previous events.

Manyowa, who has successfully brought together other top stars for this event, emphasised that it is by God’s grace that he can team up with such talent.

“It can only be God, to be honest. I am grateful that such powerful worshippers have joined us in gratitude and worship.”

As Zimbabweans prepare to enter a new year in style, Manyowa shared an uplifting message of hope:

“It all goes back to the verse behind ANOT: ‘Enter into His gates with thanksgiving.’ I believe that regardless of the challenges you face, it’s essential to count your blessings one by one. Even when life seems gloomy, remember you still have the gift of life and many reasons to be thankful.”

Manyowa urged fans to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid the last-minute rush.

“Over the years, fans have been scrambling for tickets at the last minute. Being an annual event, we hope that gospel lovers are prepared for this occasion and simply need to purchase their tickets on time. We want to make it a worship experience with a difference,” stressed Manyowa.

ANOT has gained a reputation for welcoming both believers and new converts into the new year in style.

Janet’s camp continues to promote the gospel of thanksgiving as a way of appreciating God’s favour.

Judging by the line-up, a diverse and rare praise and worship experience is anticipated at ANOT 2025.

South Africa-based Zamar is a renowned praise and worship singer in Africa who has amassed several awards and extensively toured the continent with other gospel luminaries.

Pastor Bonnie, who has been in the industry for over three decades, will add her seasoned presence to the event.

The Cherayis — Ellard and Sharon —who enjoyed phenomenal success in 2024, will also usher their followers into the new year in style.

The same can be said for Mlalazi, arguably one of the country’s most consistent performers, who has held sold-out gigs in Zimbabwe and collaborated with others to promote unity and love. As for Janet herself, she needs no introduction.

A revered praise and worship leader, Janet has risen to acclaim through God’s anointing, favour, and hard work.

Her consistency has made her a favourite among many, and she is expected to showcase her talent at ANOT 2025, which is set to attract a bumper crowd, as has become the norm each year.

The 2024 edition, which took place at HICC, attracted a bumper crowd. The lighting was superb, while the sound and overall flow of the event left fans in awe.  Part of the proceeds was channelled to charity, and Manyowa’s camp demonstrated class in the manner they executed themselves on stage.
