Kutinyu looks forward to new role in Tanzania

FORMER Warriors midfielder Tafadzwa Kutinyu has joined Tanzanian outfit Singida Stars as a performance and data analyst, marking a new chapter in his career.
Kutinyu, who previously played for Singida Stars, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role which will see him working closely with the coaching staff to analyse team performances and identify areas for improvement.

Kutinyu’s appointment comes after he was forced to retire from playing by a persistent nose injury that required two operations.
The 31-year-old had been struggling with severe headaches during training and matches and made the difficult decision to hang his boots and focus on a new career path.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities I had as a player, but my health and well-being must come first.
“ I could not train well anymore and neither could l head the ball so the best thing for me was to call it a day on the field of play.

“I’m excited to start this new chapter as a performance and data analyst at Singida Stars, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in a different capacity,” said Kutinyu.
The midfielder was part of the 2015 championship-winning Chicken Inn side.
Kutinyu played for Singinda United in Tanzania from 2017-2018 and Azam FC (2018-2019) before moving to Horoya AC in 2019.

Before Chicken Inn, Kutinyu played for Bantu Rovers and Notwane in Botswana.–@innocentskizoe
