RUTH Chikondi Zobvuta, a name synonymous with beauty and influence on Instagram, is now making waves in a different area — natural wellness. The Zimbabwean entrepreneur has taken her passion for holistic health to new heights, launching AmatoryExploitsByRue, a company dedicated to harnessing the power of natural herbs.
Rooted in a family tradition of herbalism and spiritual healing, Ruth’s evolution into a herbalist did not come as a surprise to her and developing a keen understanding of the natural world’s curative potential was inevitable.
“In 2021 I discovered that I have a calling which wasn’t a surprise because my father also had a calling, he was healer. Having a calling is what introduced and inspired me to delve deeper into learning about the healing and beneficial properties of natural herbs and herbal medicine, which ultimately has led to the founding of my herbal company AmatoryExploitsByRue,” Ruth said.
AmatoryExploitsByRue offers a range of natural aphrodisiacs designed to enhance intimacy and address various sexual health concerns.
“The AmatoryExploitsByRue natural herbs are mostly aphrodisiacs helping and assisting men and women with different ailments related to intimacy. For men we have many products including Gondolosi and Mvunguti, these two medicines assist men with low libido, weak erection and premature ejaculation. For women we have Chamoyo and Bwemba which assist with womb cleansing and also low libido. We have plenty of these natural herbal medicine for both men and women which are found in our product catalogue.”
The company has garnered significant positive feedback from customers who have experienced the benefits of the natural remedies.
“What sets my products apart from other products on the market is that these herbal medicine have been passed from generation to generation in our family having been proven and recommended by most who have used them.
“We have received a lot of great positive reviews from our customers who have been using our herbal products as evident with the testimonials received on both our Instagram and Facebook social media pages,” said Ruth.
To ensure the safety and efficacy of her products, Ruth emphasises the importance of consulting with customers about their specific needs and health conditions.
“For every customer that buys our products, we give them detailed instructions on the usage and dosage of our herbal medicine and also we inquire with customers to find out if ever there have any other medicine that they are taking,” she explained.
Ruth dismissed fears that she might be a snake oil salesperson and insisted that her products were the real deal.
“There has been scientific evidence that has been done to prove that these herbs achieve the purpose that they are meant to achieve for example Gondolosi also known as Mondia Whitei has been scientifically proven as an aphrodisiac.
“I have personally experienced the benefits of these herbs, I have used Chigaga for my menstrual cramps and irregular periods and I have used Chamwamba for UTI and cleaning the system,” she said.
Hailing from Zimbabwe with Malawian ancestry, Ruth leverages her cultural heritage to source potent aphrodisiacs from Malawi, a country celebrated for its rich biodiversity and traditional healing practices.
“We source our herbs from Ntcheu district in Malawi, where the harvesting and collection processes are meticulously overseen by traditional leaders and elders. They ensure sustainable practices by maintaining a balance in both harvesting and planting. For every tree cut down for herbs, another is planted to preserve and sustain the ecosystem,” she said.
The future holds exciting possibilities for AmatoryExploitsByRue, as Ruth envisions expanding her business to reach a global audience.
“The future plans of the business is to expand into different countries and cities and introduce our natural herbal medicine and to have our own factory that is processing and distributing our natural herbal products worldwide,” she shared
Ruth’s entrepreneurial journey has not been without its challenges.
“The biggest challenge that I have faced is there’s a lot of counterfeit products on the market and also reaching out to people to get them to open up about the different sexual problems that they face in the bedroom. A lot of people, both men and women, are not comfortable with opening up about their sexual problems. There is also the stigma that is attached to selling, distributing and talking about sexual problems.
“I advise couples to open up and talk about the different problems they face in their sexual lives and lift the veil that is associated with sexual problems among couples in our society. Sex is not taboo,” she said.
Despite the obstacles, Ruth remains optimistic about the future of natural health and wellness.
“I envision a bright future for natural health and wellness, with increasing numbers of people embracing these products to enhance sexual health within the Black community. As awareness grows, so do the efforts to eliminate the stigma surrounding discussions about sexual issues, fostering a more open and supportive environment,” she said.
By breaking down taboos and promoting open conversations about sexual health, Ruth is not only empowering individuals but also revolutionising the natural wellness industry, but that is not her proudest achievement so far.
“My proudest moment in my entrepreneurial journey has been witnessing my dream come to life. Despite the numerous challenges I faced starting my business from scratch, it is now thriving. The positive and encouraging feedback I receive from people reassures me that I am on the right path, doing something I am passionate about and truly called to do.”
