IT’S time to pop the champagne!

ZKS Spinners Arena has become a force to reckon with in the showbiz and drag racing scenes since its establishment earlier this year.

The arena has introduced and supported car spinning, ensuring the sport’s appreciation within the Bulawayo community.

After hosting numerous events throughout the year, ZKS Spinners Arena will celebrate its first anniversary in style with an end-of-year event on 21 December at the arena near Khami Dam in Bulawayo.

The event, dubbed “Festive Burnouts,” will be headlined by the controversial South African traditional healer Bhongolethu Mzozo, famously known as Dr  Khehlelezi. He will also participate in the spinning and drifting activities.

Dr Khehlelezi, a bishop at Isithelo Sika Jehovah, is renowned for his prowess in the traditional and spiritual realm.

He is credited with helping numerous Mzansi celebrities from the music, sports, business, and politics industries through divine intervention to achieve success in their careers.

However, his major visit to the City of Kings and Queens will be spinning, a sport that he says he “loves so much.”

He will also have an opportunity to fellowship on the night of the event at his church’s new branch which is located in Pumula suburb.

Other notable spinners who will showcase their drifting skills at the arena are Jericho Moono and Santos (all from Zambia), Jozi 011, Jabu, Team Bokkie,  (all from South Africa), Team Masgee, AK 47, Mac D, Amakhosi, The Rock, King Fly, to mention a few.

Zakhele Mabaso who is the founder and director of ZKS Spinners arena said they are grateful for the support they have received from the Bulawayo community as he reflected that all the shows they held this year were sold out.

“As we mark the one-year anniversary of our ZKS Spinners arena’s construction, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of the people from Bulawayo and beyond who have supported us immensely. Their unwavering support, enthusiasm, and contributions have been instrumental in making our vision come true.

“From the early days of planning and construction, to the countless hours of operation, their dedication has helped us create a world-class spinning facility that has become a hub for thrill-seekers and motorsport enthusiasts alike.

“We are proud to have hosted numerous events, attracted top talent, and provided a safe and exhilarating environment for drivers to push their limits.

“As we look into the future, we are excited to announce new developments, events, and initiatives that will take our drifting arena to the next level.

“We couldn’t have made it this far without your support, and we look forward to continuing to share our passion for spinning with you,” said Mabaso.
