WRACKED with jealousy, a Bulawayo woman took drastic measures to publicly shame her estranged husband after she saw him with another woman last wednesday.
The green monster would not relent as the woman slapped him before she rushed to his home where she poured water on the bed and smashed his TV, laptop and DSTV decoder.
After the embarrassing incident Nkosikhona Ncube from Pumula South suburb in Bulawayo who felt it had become dangerous for him to walk with any woman in public rushed to court on Friday and sought a protection order as he feared that his estranged wife Girly Malunga would attack him.
Ncube said he married Girly in 2019 and cracks in their marriage started to emerge in 2021 resulting in them living separately.
He said the situation at home was no longer peaceful, forcing him to leave. Ncube said Malunga was bitter and does not want to see him in the company of any woman.
Narrating the incident at the Western Commonage Court on Monday where he was seeking a protection order, Ncube said he bumped into his wife at the shops and when she saw a woman with him, she blew her top.
He said Malunga went haywire, slapped him and showered him with insults.
Just as Ncube thought he had just survived the worst day of his life, it got even worser.
Malunga rushed to his home and broke down the door.
She smashed a Plasma TV, laptop and DSTV decoder.
Ncube further claimed that she went on to pour water on his bed and left.
When Malunga appeared before Western Commonage Court magistrate Sikhethile Moyo she apologised profusely for her actions.
โI love him so much and I was hurt when I saw him walking side by side with another woman. Iโm really sorry for my unbecoming behaviour.โ
The magistrate granted Ncube a protection order. Malunga was ordered not to verbally and physically abuse Ncube.
