COACH Thulani Sibanda says he has no offers on the table after his recent separation with Bulawayo Chiefs.
Sibanda’s departure from Chiefs was announced yesterday morning via a statement, which revealed that his contract would expire on 31 December and would not be renewed.
“We would like to announce that we are set to part ways with head coach Thulani Sibanda following the conclusion of the 2024 season,” read the statement.
“We thank Sibanda for his contribution and dedication during his time with the team. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
Prior to the announcement of his departure, Sibanda has been linked with a move to FC Platinum.
Sibanda, who had seemingly built a strong team at the start of the season, only to lose several key players during the mid-season transfer window, said he was relaxed about his situation.
“At the moment, I am just relaxed at home waiting for any offers that may come. I am not feeling anxious or stressed about my situation, but rather am embracing the uncertainty and seeing where it takes me.”
“For now, I am content to simply wait and see what the future holds. I am confident that the right opportunities will come along when the time is right, and I am excited to see what lies ahead,” Sibanda added.
Sibanda, who in the past has worked magic to ensure the team survives the chop, could not save the team from relegation this time around and Chiefs will be playing Division One football next season.
Despite the setbacks he faced during his time at Chiefs, Sibanda’s bond with the club remains unbroken.
He first brought the team into the topflight league in 2018 and has since made several comebacks to the team.-@innocentskizoe
