A TEACHER from Sebhumane Primary School in Nkayi, Matabeleland North province who went missing for two days was found dead in a well.
Ndodana Ndlovu’s lifeless body was found by a search team on Monday last week. Ndlovu hailed from Gwabalanda suburb in Bulawayo.
Circumstances are that on 30 September 2023, Ndlovu went to Sebhumane Business Centre to drink beer.
Upon arrival, he joined his friend Farai Gwamba and they started drinking together.
After some time, he left Gwamba and met Jabulani Nyoni and continued with their drinking spree.
At around 7pm, Ndlovu left Sebhumane Business Centre going home and along the way he fell into a well.
It is reported on 2 October, he was supposed to report for work but he was nowhere to be found. The headmaster started looking for him but his efforts were in vain.
He then assigned a team to conduct a search and they found his lifeless body in a well near a footpath that connects Sebhumane Business Centre and Sebhumane Primary School.
The matter was reported to the police.
Matabeleland North provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Glory Banda confirmed the incident.
“I can confirm that we received a report of a man that was found dead in a well in Nkayi and we are currently carrying out investigations on the matter,” said Insp Banda.
