Man9Nine to tour UK

Langalakhe Mabena

Bulawayo’s award-winning Zim Dancehall artiste Ma9Nine is on cloud nine as he is set to tour the United Kingdom (UK) in November for the first time in his career, thanks to Shanyai Promotions for the life changing opportunity.

The trip is not a holiday for the Budaz singer.

He is looking forward to learning from the greats who have done it including the legendary Jeys Marabini, Zumba music godfather Freddie Gwala, Tshedi (from Malaika), as well as triple-platinum-selling South Africa Jazz songbird Zahara.

Other artistes who are part of the tour are Lady Bee, Jazz maestro Agga Nyabinde, DJ Khanda Cool, MC Sebhelebhe as well as Fatha Ansy.

Ma9Nine and other fellow artistes will kick start the tour with a performance at Cambridge on 4 November, followed by another gig in Sheffield on 18 November as well as the Peterborough event which will be held on 25 November.

Ma9Nine is over the moon to have been selected among the greats to be part of the tour.

“It feels great to be part of the artistes who will be touring the UK in November alongside some of the great creatives like ubaba uJeys Marabini, Zahara and other creatives.

“It’s my first time performing in the UK and I am happy for such an opportunity because it is a sign that people appreciate my craft and my career is improving.

“I am willing to learn from the creatives that I will be sharing the stage with because they have been in this industry for many years meaning they have massive wisdom that I can tap into. Basically this tour will be about growth,” said Ma9Nine.

He promised to give all his best on his set, as he said, “such gigs are once in a lifetime. I am ready for the challenge and I will show the world what I am capable of doing on stage”.
