After touting and hyping for the Esteemed Bulawayo Business Women High Tea for months, the day has finally come for the event to take place.
Coined by seasoned model instructor, coach and business woman Sipho Mazibuko, the event is slated for 25 February at Lavinia Gardens in Waterford, Bulawayo.
The High Tea will be a place to be for women in business as banking and financial institutes including Womenโs Bank, Inclusive Finance, Banc ABC, Empower Bank and Smedco will be displaying and offering services and advice to those in attendance.
Prominent businesswoman and philanthropist Zodwa Mkandla is the guest of honour.
Musician and businesswoman Sandra Ndebele will also be in attendance.
Sithembiso Nyoni who is the Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, endorsed the High Tea.
โWeโre really geared for women empowerment and we endorse, support, and applaud what Mazibuko is doing. Sheโs a resilient, determined and a brave woman who has seen it all but is still standing tall.
โWe need to celebrate such consistency and bravery. Sheโs an example that other women should take note of because most of the time when the going gets tough, some crash, but she didnโt. Sheโs untouchable and Iโm happy to be part of the women gracing the High Tea,โ said Minister Nyoni.
Mazibuko said everything went according to plan and the stage and the tables were finally set for women in business to mingle and share ideas that will expand their businesses and influence.
She urged women to take up the opportunity and attain business insights and skills from women who have experience.
โThe High Tea is open to all women, especially those aspiring to venture into business. Theyโre encouraged to come and learn from other women who have established themselves in the business world and have the experience and acumen.
โIโd like to thank the Minister for the kind gesture and hope her presence will be testament enough to women taking their place in the corporate world,โ said Mazibuko.
