After testing waters on his 40th birthday celebrations which were held in 2021, socialite and promoter Mduduzi “Mdu” Mdlongwa will once again hold the “All Black Party” on 28 October as part of him celebrating 42 years of existence.
The gig will be held at Hartsfield Tshisanyama and it will officially launch Mdu’s celebrations as an annually held event.
This year’s festivities are dubbed “All Black Legends Party” and apart from Mdu, the gig will celebrate other local legends in the entertainment industry that include Joe Da OG, Babongile Sikhonjwa and Jeys Marabini.
It’s expected to be a huge gig as the who is who in the city of Kings — be it musicians, actors, DJs, influencers and fashion designers, are expected to attend the gig, which will be complemented by visitors from Zambia, Botswana as well as Harare.
Mdu, who is the face of 3D Events said as a persona whose job has to deal and mingle with people, he decided to celebrate his birthday with close associates in the game as well as the patrons he has dedicated to serve for years.
“The All Black Party movement started in 2021 when I turned 40 years old. Some of my close friends certified me with the status of a legend as I reached the fourth floor in life. I then decided to make a huge gig which will accommodate everyone I work with, associates, friends as well as patrons who have made me who I am.
“After the success and the vibe that we experienced in 2021, I decided to return with the party again this year as I turn 42, and officially launch the gig to be an annually held event.
“This gig is not only about me. It is also about celebrating other legends in the local showbiz industry, the great people who have served in this industry for a long time,” said Mdu.
The promoter who has brought a number of high profile artistes like Black Coffee, Sjava, DJ Tira, Black Motion, Cassper Nyovest, DJ Zinhle, Vigro Deep, Jah Prayzah, DJ Zandie Maz, Winky D, DJ Fresh and Euphonik, said his birthday bash is a not to miss a gig.
“This will be a unique gig. I have friends in Harare, Botswana as well as Zambia who will grace this show. I have opened the stage and the decks for everyone who wants to play so that they get a chance to prove their craft.
“Wordsmiths from poets, artistes and comedians will have a chance to dust off the microphone too. It’s a must-attend gig that will unite Bulawayo and enable us to celebrate together in style,” said Mdu.
So far, artistes who have confirmed their participation at the gig are DJ Slimza, DJ Liz, DJ Wellyonz, DJ Gassy, DJ Uegy, Mlungu Omnyama, DJ Crazy Dee, DJ Kotwane, The Grooveman, DJ Jza, The Outfit band, The Expandables, Rebellious shuns, DJ Mufali, DJ Blaze (Harare), DJ Moffy, DJ Rafto, King Don, DJ Feliate, DJ Cue Bots, MC Miss D Posts and Image Music Band.
