CAPS United’s most consistent player during the 2024 season, Bruce Kangwa has attracted interest from South Africa’s second-tier side Black Leopards and DRC’ TP Mazembe.

The fullback has been in Makekepeke’s books since returning from Azam of Tanzania early this year.

Kangwa, who has been playing regularly for CAPS United is still open to negotiations with the team if the deals outside the country fail to sail through.

George Deda, the player’s manager, said they are open for negotiations.

“I am delighted that there is some interest for Kangwa from Black Leopards of South AFRICA AND DRC’s TP Mazembe.

“I hope that he gets a new club but we will also give CAPS United the best option as they have been accommodative to the players.

“I am grateful to CAPS United management led by Honourable Farai Jere and coach Lloyd Chitembwe for showing great interest in Kangwa.

“Jere gave him a chance to play when he returned home and we are open for a new deal if they are interested.

“The team gave him Kangwa a new lease of life and he has done extremely well during the past season.

“Bruce has the experience and I would favour South Africa if the deal can come out. He has been in the game for a long time so considering his age a deal back home can be tolerated if it is handsome,” said Deda.

Kangwa was a captain for Highlanders for three years before he led Azam for close to seven years.

“I would prefer Black Leopards who are fighting for promotion into the PSL. The teams have been tracking Kangwa for more than six months and this (Zimbabwean) off-season we will see how it goes,” added Deda.

Kangwa joined CAPS United on a two-year contract early this year that has an option to extend, subject to his performance and fitness during his stay in the capital.
