Afreximbank to fund more projects in Zim

President Mnangagwa on Wednesday met the President of the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) Professor Benedict Oramah amid indications that the Pan-African financial institution is ready to unlock more funding to Zimbabwe.


The two met on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference underway in Baku, Azerbaijan.


Speaking after the meeting, President Mnangagwa said the engagement was fruitful.


Professor Oramah said the bank has various new initiatives that it is keen to implement in Zimbabwe.


โ€œWe updated him on all the activities of the bank and thanked him for the support that he is giving us,โ€ Prof Oramah said.
