The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority Holdings has announced that electricity generation has been significantly reduced nationwide due to a technical fault at Hwange Power Station and low water levels at Kariba Power Station.
These issues have severely impacted power supply, with households and businesses across the country already feeling the strain.
In a statement, ZESA said its technical teams are currently working to address the fault at Hwange to stabilise the grid.
โWe are actively working to resolve the issue to minimise the impact on our customers,โ read the statement.
ZESA has also assured the public that efforts were being made to restore normal service.
While repairs are underway, ZESA has warned stakeholders to expect possible power outages and limited electricity availability.
The company has also apologised for the disruptions, recognising the significant inconvenience caused to its customers.
ZESA said it will give further updates as it continues to address the critical issues and work towards restoring power stability across the nation.
