About 40 000 households in 21 rural wards, along with 12 000 peri-urban households in Bindura, are set to benefit from Pfumvudza inputs this year.
Mr Elias Kudyanyemba, the Bindura district agronomist, said that the distribution of inputs is currently ongoing.
A total of 160 000 Pfumvudza plots have been prepared, against a target of 200 000.
These plots account for 12,500 hectares of cereal crops.
As farmers transition from winter wheat to the summer season, Mr Kudyanyemba emphasised that the Pfumvudza Intwasa concept is essential in addressing climate change.
He also expressed pride in Bindura district for exceeding its winter wheat target of 8 000 hectares
