Snubbed: SA club not interested in Mahachi

Raymond Jaravaza

SOUTH African club Maritzburg United will not sign Kuda Mahachi, who has been training with the team, but instead brought on board three other players.

The South African player transfer window period closed Tuesday midnight.

Mahachi was let go by former club SuperSport last year in June when he was fighting allegations of scalding his minor son with boiling water.

He was later acquitted by the courts in Bulawayo.

His manager Gibson Mahachi says they are not in a rush to secure a move for the player.

Mahachi is on record saying the priority at the moment is to have Mahachi regain full fitness.

โ€œWe all know that he has not been playing for a very long time. He needs to be fully fit before committing to any club,โ€ Gibson told South African media.

โ€œHonestly, we have offers but because of the situation, we are not in a hurry to conclude anything because the player is our priority,โ€ he said.
