Chipezeze speaks on future at Magesi

SOUTH Africa Magesi FC goalkeeper, Elvis Chipezeze, has addressed speculation on his future at the club following his impressive displays in Dikwena Tsa Meetse colours since their promotion in the Betway Premiership.

The 34-year-old Zimbabwean shot-stopper was speaking during the 2025 Nedbank Cup Last 32 draw recently. Magesi were drawn against Gavin Hunt’s SuperSport United in the tournament’s Round of 32.

This comes after former Orlando Pirates star Benedict Vilakazi recently recommended that Kaizer Chiefs  sign the Magesi captain, Chipezeze, to bolster their goalkeeping department and defence, as Amakhosi only managed to keep one clean sheet so far this campaign.

The veteran goalie is also reported to be on the radar of a Betway Premiership team and a cash-rich Zimbabwean outfit. So far this season, Chipezeze has played in 13 games across all competitions for the Limpopo club.

To top it off, the Ex-Baroka FC man kept six clean sheets and conceded 12 goals from the 13 matches he has played. He also collected four man-of-the-match accolades in the Carling Knockout Cup.

Chipezeze stated that he is focused on the job at hand, as he aims to assist Magesi to win games and steer clear of the relegation zone. “For now, I’m just focused on Magesi FC. Remember, I’m still contracted to the club,” said the Zimbabwean international.

“I’m here to serve the club, and that is what I’m going to do until the time is right. But for now, I’m focused on Magesi, and the rest will deal with itself.” — (farpost.co.za)
