MAN JAILED FOR 20 YEARS FOR RAPING, IMPREGNATING DAUGHTER (13)

A ROGUE father raped his daughter, who was just 13, until she fell pregnant.

The teenager gave birth in 2016 and then fled her home to settle in Botswana.

She returned home last month, together with her eight-year-old daughter.

And, fearing that her father would also rape her daughter, decided to report him to the police for raping her back in 2013, when she was just 13.

The man, from Chief Hikwa Dombodema, was arrested and appeared before a Plumtree Magistrate court where he was convicted and jailed for 20 years.

The man and his family were sharing the same bedroom.

Sometime in 2013, the father took advantage of his wife’s absence.

The State said he left his bed and went to the complainant’s bed and raped her.

The father threatened her daughter not to disclose the savage attack.

He continued raping his until she got pregnant.

She gave birth in 2016 and fled from her home and went to Botswana.

She later returned home in December last year, with her eight-year-old daughter.

Fearing that her daughter might also be abused by her father, she reported the case to the police which led to his arrest.
