THE gospel arena has a new kid on the block that is slowly growing and eager to become a household name: the music outfit called iWorship.
Founded by Zvikomborero Motsi, the gospel group is set to release their works and will announce their arrival through a debut album titled God Our Pride.
The album comprises 12 tracks, of which six are originals and the rest are covers. These include Sengiyavuma, Vhangeri, Simba Romweya Mutsvene, Izimanga, Depend on the Lord, Jesu Vandivisa Apa, Satan Ana Kudwa Kare, Come to Me (Mumawoko), Hymnal Worship Medley, Simudza Mawoko, Mkhulumsebenzi, and Siwabonile Amandla Akho.
Music Director Motsi said the group is comprised of artistes drawn from different churches and their ultimate goal is to spread love, peace and unity through music.
“The formation of the group was inspired by the need to fulfil purpose. God gave the gift of music talent; hence the aim is to evangelise and serve God using this ministry.
“We want to be a tool of service in the kingdom for nations to see God’s beauty through our music. We haven’t released any projects yet, though we have our first album, which is almost done. This project is titled God My Pride, envisioned from Psalm 119:46 — ‘I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,’” said Motsi.
He urged the public to stay connected on their social media platforms to hear the sounds of iWorship.
“We will start dropping our songs, which will include videos, from the month of February and official dates will be announced on our social media pages once everything is ready.
“The messages in all these songs will reflect how great God is and how boastful we are about Him,” said Motsi.
