SON URINATES, DEFECATES IN KITCHEN

Jemira Chitekunye

A HARARE woman says her son urinates and defecates in her kitchen.

Maria Chipiti says this usually happens when her son, Steven, is drunk.

She has since approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against her son.

“Steven is into drugs and, whenever he gets drunk, he defecates and urinates in the kitchen.

“He sold his clothes to buy drugs, so he no longer has anything to wear.”

Maria added:

“Sometimes he pours water and mud in the kitchen, supposedly to fix his cousin.

“He doesn’t eat what we cook, rather he eats what he likes, wasting my food.

“When he plays music, it will be on high volume throughout the night and if I reprimand him he threatens to beat me up.

“His cousin, who lives with us, takes care of me, but Steven insults her using vulgar language.”

Steven did not deny the allegations.  He showed remorse and apologised to his mother.

“I am sorry for causing you pain but I am still struggling with addiction.

“My prayer is that I overcome this and become a better person.”
