FORMER Warriors midfielder Tafadzwa Kutinyu has joined Tanzanian outfit Singida Stars as a performance and data analyst, marking a new chapter in his career.

Kutinyu, who previously played for Singida Stars, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role.

It will see him working closely with the coaching staff to analyse team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Kutinyu’s appointment comes after he was forced to retire from playing due to a persistent nose injury that required two operations.

The 31-year-old, who had been struggling with severe headaches during training and matches, made the difficult decision to hang up his boots and focus on a new career path.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities I had as a player, but my health and well-being must come first.

“I could not train well anymore and neither could l head the ball so the best thing for me was to call it a day on the field of play.

“I’m excited to start this new chapter as a performance and data analyst at Singida Stars, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in a different capacity,” said Kutinyu.

The midfielder was part of the 2015 championship-winning Chicken Inn, coached by Joey Antipas before the gaffer joined AmaZulu in South Africa and later returned to Chicken Inn in 2018.
