A man who works at MacDonald Bricks in Bulawayo appeared in court after he was ย allegedly caught with five sachets of dagga valued at about $90 000.
Munyaradzi Manyande (52) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Themba Chimiso and pleaded not guilty to the charge of being found in possession of dagga.
He paid US$30 bail and was remanded out of custody to 24 October for commencement of trial.
Allegations against Nyamande are that on 28 September at Macdonald Bricks as he was passing through the gate he was searched by theย security guard who then stumbled on five sachets of dagga in his jacket.
After that the matter was reported to the police leading to his arrest.
The recovered dagga was taken to CID drugs and narcotics. On the following day the ย dagga was weighed atย Zimpost and it weighed 0,018kg with an estimated street value of $90 000.
