A MAN from Cowdray Park suburb has been subjected to humiliation as he is being bashed by his girlfriend who confronts him at his place and breaks his property.
Nhamo Musengeyiwa is indeed living true to the meaning of his first name which literally means “tough time” because his ex- lover Evidence Ncube confronts him at his home and hurls insults at him before bashing him.
Nhamo claimed he has been facing a tough time at the hands of his ex who recently confronted him at his home and gained entry through the window of his bedroom.
He further said her violent ex-lover beat him up before breaking his late wife’s picture frame into pieces. As if that was not enough she went for his TV, cellphone and watch and smashed them on the floor.
A seemingly fed-up Nhamo applied for a peace order at Western Commonage Court.
“I am applying for a peace order against my ex-girlfriend Evidence Ncube. She is in the habit of confronting me at my home claiming that we are still in love but when I tell her that I don’t have anything to do with her, she fumes and beats me up.
“She also threatened to set ablaze the room where I sleep. Last week on Tuesday she came to my place during the night and broke into my room and smashed my TV, cellphone and watch. I pray that this honourable court will help me.” Evidence claimed they were still in love and that she had also spent a lot on him when he was not working.
“Your Worship, we never broke up. I heard that he is now in love with another woman. That is when I confronted him and we fought,” she said. The presiding magistrate Sikhethile Moyo granted Nhamo a peace order.
His ex-lover was ordered not to physically and verbally abuse him or go to his place.
