Meanwhile, over 11 000 spectators reportedly paid their way into Barbourfields Stadium to watch the match between Highlanders and FC Platinum that was played on Sunday.
Bosso won the match 2-1 to register their first league triumph over the four-times-in-a-row champion since August 2014.
Bustling Stanely Ngala and Peter Muduhwa scored for Highlanders while reigning Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona was on target for Pure Platinum Play.
