There is a future in the arts industry!
Multi-award-winning artiste, Sizalobuhle Nkomo, also known as Msiz’ Kay was officially handed a fully serviced residential stand that he attained at the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (Roil BAA) on 24 December 2022.
He was awarded with the stand after he won the People’s Choice and Song of the year accolades.
The 200 square-metre residential stand which was sponsored by TCI International Private
Limited company, is located at Lot Two in Emganwini.
The Kulula hit maker was thrilled as he signed the documents of ownership at Nketa 6 Housing
Offices, and later proceeding to where his stand is located.
Msiz’ Kay said he was thankful that this prize was awarded to him.
“This is a big achievement for me and it’s a dream come true. I am happy that my wish finally
happened,” said Msiz’ Kay.
Calvin Chikonzo, the operations manager at TCI said they were happy to be part of such a life-changing opportunity.
“Our vision as TCI is to help change people’s lives. Hence, we saw an opportunity to partner with the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards in uplifting the visions of artistes and in this case Msiz’Kay,” said Chikonzo.
While most youths and upcoming artistes are skeptical about what the arts industry can bring, Msiz’Kay has set an example of how well things may turn out for them.
“Nothing is easy. It takes a lot of work to get to such a stage in life where you are officially recognised as an artiste in Bulawayo and regionally,” said Msiz ‘Kay.
