Be impactful, budding entrepreneurs challenged

Business Reporter

MARKETING guru, Mr Douglas Mamvura has urged budding entrepreneurs to be impactful in their respective areas of business to improve the country’s economic fortunes.

Mr Mamvura said Zimbabwe’s fate would not improve through external interventions alone, but also through the innovative efforts of its citizens.

Speaking at The Venon Chamba Business Seminar on Saturday, Mr Mamvura urged those in attendance to be resolute in their respective business ventures, to make a meaningful contribution to the local economy.

Addressing the guests under the seminar themed “Power of imagination”, Mr Mamvura underscored the importance of action, urging aspiring entrepreneurs to avoid procrastination.

He stressed that waiting for significant financial backing should not hinder their entrepreneurial spirit, instead, they should utilise the resources readily available to them to kick-start their ventures.

He elaborated on the need for individuals tobe proactive in identifying and seizing business opportunities, especially within the challenging operating environment prevailing in the country.

Furthermore, Mr Mamvura said reliance on external factors can limit growth and true economic transformation must originate from within the country.

“Zimbabwe needs you and me to make a difference. We cannot wait for other people to come and teach us how to run businesses.

“You and I can do it, we have what it takes to make a difference in this nation, let us make a difference.

“Let us begin to stretch our imagination and be impactful in our diverse areas of trade,” said Mr Mamvura.

He told the entrepreneurs that money follows ideas and good ideas are found by exploring, suggesting that creative and innovative concepts are the bedrock of successful businesses.

“Some of us wait until the rains come and that is when we start digging.

No, begin to dig those ditches, begin to look for those opportunities. Do not start telling me that it is tough, resources will always follow the vision.

“God initiates your first arrival on this planet and you will initiate your final departure so you have to account for all this time that we are sleeping within a nation,” he added.

Budding entrepreneurs play a significant role in driving economic growth as they bring fresh ideas, diverse perspectives, and innovative solutions to the marketplace.

Since its inception last year, The Venon Chamba Business Seminars have gained considerable momentum, attracting a large audience from various backgrounds across the country.

Pastor Venon Chamba, the visionary founder behind this seminar series, is not just an entrepreneur and life coach but also a transformational speaker.

He imparts valuable business knowledge and motivational messages through platforms like ZiFM Stereo.

His vision extends beyond the seminars themselves, as he actively engages with critical social issues affecting the youth, such as the troubling trends of drug misuse and the rising crime rates among young people.

Pastor Chamba aims to uplift and inspire young individuals by encouraging them to take charge of their futures through entrepreneurship. His goal is to help them avoid idleness and empower them to contribute positively to the economy.

Furthermore, he envisions expanding the reach of the Venon Chamba Seminars into neighbouring countries, including South Africa, Zambia, and Malawi, with the hope of positively impacting youths beyond Zimbabwe’s borders.

With millions of young people worldwide dreaming of launching their businesses and achieving entrepreneurial success, the Venon Chamba Business Seminars are designed to drive inspiration, educate, and grow entrepreneurs, paving the way for a brighter economic future for the region.
